Availashare

Terms of service

Last updated 31 October 2026.

These terms govern your use of the Availashare website and service ("Availashare", "the service") and your relationship with 88mph Tech ("we", "us"). Please read them, because they affect your rights. If you do not agree with them, do not sign in.

The privacy notice explains what personal data Availashare holds and why. It is worth reading next to these terms, because the service is about sharing calendar data.

The short version

The full terms below are what you agree to. These are the points that matter most:

1. About these terms

  1. These terms apply from the moment you sign in to Availashare with a Google account, which creates your Availashare account. They apply to everything you do with the service afterwards.
  2. If you only subscribe to a feed that somebody gave you, you have no account and no agreement with us. The privacy notice explains what a feed contains and who is responsible for it.
  3. We may change these terms. When a change matters to you, we will show a notice on the dashboard at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. If you do not accept the new terms, delete your account before that date; until then the previous terms apply to you. If you keep using Availashare after that date, the new terms apply. A change that the law or Google's requirements force on us may take effect sooner, and we will say so in the notice.
  4. These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement between you and us about Availashare.

2. Your account

  1. You must be at least 18 years old to use Availashare.
  2. You sign in with a Google account. Your Availashare account is identified by the email address of the first Google account you signed in with. You can connect further Google accounts to the same Availashare account, and a Google account can belong to only one Availashare account at a time.
  3. You are responsible for keeping your Google accounts secure. If you believe someone else has gained access to one of them, change its password at Google and disconnect it from Availashare, and tell us. We may disconnect an account or suspend your Availashare account while we protect it.
  4. You must not impersonate anyone or give us false information.
  5. You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. Clause 11 describes what happens then.

3. What the service does

  1. Availashare reads the calendars of the Google accounts you connect, and fetches any calendar you add by the address it publishes. From those calendars you build virtual calendars: for each source you choose full details, titles only or busy only, you can add a prefix to titles, choose the label of busy blocks, keep or drop events by keyword, and skip all-day, declined or free events. You can add availability rules to a virtual calendar (working hours, weekly busy blocks, busy dates, a minimum notice period and a rounding of times), which appear as busy blocks beside the events. Each virtual calendar is published behind one or more share links.
  2. A share link works in three ways. As a calendar feed, it can be subscribed to from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or any application that reads calendar addresses. As a web page, it shows the same events in a browser, with buttons to add the feed to a calendar application; you can switch the page off for any link. As an answer for software, it returns busy and free time intervals only, never titles, in the format documented on this site, which any website or program may read; nothing can be booked through it.
  3. Availashare asks Google for read-only access. It cannot create, change or delete an event in any calendar, and it cannot change who a calendar is shared with.
  4. Availashare copies the events of the calendars you include, from 30 days in the past to 180 days in the future, every 15 minutes in normal operation, and immediately when you press "Sync now". Feeds are served from that copy, so a subscriber's calendar application never contacts your Google account.
  5. How quickly a change reaches a subscriber depends on their calendar application as well as on us. Google Calendar refreshes a subscribed feed on its own schedule, often every few hours and sometimes up to a day; Apple Calendar and Outlook let the subscriber choose. Do not rely on a feed for anything that needs to be exact to the minute.
  6. If Google refuses a connected account, or a calendar's address stops answering, the feed keeps serving the last copy and the dashboard tells you that the account needs reconnecting or the calendar needs a new address. Nothing is fetched again until you fix it.
  7. The plans in clause 7 set how many calendars you can include.

4. Calendars you connect or add

  1. You may connect only Google accounts that you own or are authorised to connect, and you may add a calendar by its address only if you are entitled to use that calendar: it is yours, it was shared with you with event details, or it was published for anyone to subscribe to.
  2. Availashare fetches a calendar by address on your behalf, from our servers, every 15 minutes. The publisher's terms of use apply to you when you do that, and the publisher sees our requests.
  3. A calendar address is a credential. Whoever holds it can read that calendar. Availashare shows it to you in full only once, when you paste it, and stores it encrypted. Availashare cannot revoke an address: if it leaks, reset it where the calendar is published (Google Calendar, iCloud, Outlook or wherever it comes from) and paste the new one.
  4. We may stop fetching a calendar at the request of its owner or publisher, if fetching it breaks the publisher's terms or our limits (a fetch must complete within 15 seconds and the file must stay under 5 megabytes), or if the address points at a private network. The dashboard will show you why.
  5. A Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administrator can restrict what a work account shares outside the organisation. If such a restriction stops Availashare from reading a calendar, that is not a failure of the service.

5. Share links and the people who hold them

  1. A share link is a web address that contains a random token. It needs no sign-in. Anyone who holds it can read the feed behind it, open its web page, ask it for busy and free times, forward it, and will usually have it stored in their calendar application.
  2. You decide who receives a link, and you are responsible for that decision. A link's label describes what the link shows, for example "busy-only link"; Availashare does not know and does not record who holds a link. It records only how many times the feed or the availability answer was fetched, how many times the page was opened, and when each last happened.
  3. By including a calendar with full details, you publish its event titles, descriptions and locations to whoever holds the link, including any details about other people that those fields contain. You must have a good reason to do that, and you should use titles only or busy only wherever the details are not needed. An event you marked private or confidential at the source is always shown as busy, whatever the link is set to show, and the availability answer never carries titles. You are the person sharing; we provide the means.
  4. You can revoke a link at any time from the calendar's page. It stops answering at once and other links to the same calendar keep working. You can also cap any single link at titles only or busy only, whatever the sources show, limit how far ahead it reaches, and switch its web page off.
  5. We may revoke a link, or pause a feed, if it is being misused or if someone whose data it exposes makes a justified complaint. We will tell you when we do, and why.
  6. A feed is meant to be read in a calendar application by the people you gave the link to. If you learn that a link has travelled further than you intended, revoke it and create a new one.

6. Acceptable use

  1. You agree not to:
    • try to read a feed whose link you were not given, guess or probe tokens, or otherwise attempt to gain access to data that is not yours;
    • add a calendar address that you obtained without the permission of the person whose calendar it is;
    • publish other people's calendar data through Availashare without a lawful reason;
    • use Availashare for anything unlawful, or to harass, defraud or mislead anyone;
    • send abusive traffic to the service, scrape it, overload it, interfere with it, or circumvent its limits, for example by creating several accounts to avoid a plan limit (a share link answers at most 60 requests a minute from one address);
    • resell Availashare or offer it as your own service.
  2. Attempting to gain unauthorised access to Availashare, to a feed, or to any system it connects to may be an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report such attempts to the authorities and cooperate with them, including by disclosing your identity.
  3. We may suspend or close an account that breaks this clause, as clause 11 describes.

7. Plans and prices

  1. The free plan includes up to 2 calendars, as many virtual calendars and share links as you need, full details or busy only per calendar and per link, and a copy every 15 minutes.
  2. The Pro plan costs £4 per month and includes 3 calendars, plus £1 per month for each additional calendar. A calendar is a source calendar that you include in at least one virtual calendar; it counts once however many virtual calendars or links use it.
  3. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. If the VAT of your country changes the total, the checkout shows the final amount before you pay.
  4. Paid plans are not open yet. Until they open, every account can include any number of calendars at no cost. We will show a notice on the dashboard at least 30 days before any limit applies, and nobody is charged without choosing a paid plan.
  5. When you take a paid plan, you pay monthly in advance and the subscription renews each month until you cancel it. Payment is taken by the payment provider named at checkout. We never see your full card number.
  6. If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal after that. You can cancel before it does.
  7. If a payment fails, we will tell you and try again. If it still fails after 14 days, your account returns to the free plan and its limits.
  8. Before you subscribe, the sign-up page shows the price, the billing frequency and how to cancel, and asks you to confirm that you take on a recurring payment.

8. Cancelling and refunds

  1. You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the dashboard. You will not be charged again. Paid features stay on until the end of the month you have paid for, and the account then returns to the free plan.
  2. If you cancel within 14 days of starting your first paid subscription, we refund the full amount, whether or not you used the service in those days. This applies to the first subscription you take out, not to the monthly renewals that follow it.
  3. After those 14 days, the month already paid is not refunded, except where the law gives you a refund, for example because the service was not as described or did not work as it should and we could not put it right.
  4. Deleting your account cancels any paid plan.
  5. If we end your paid plan under clause 11 for a reason other than your breach, we refund the part of the month you have not used.

9. Availability and changes to the service

  1. We provide Availashare with reasonable skill and care, and we aim to keep it running and the feeds fresh at all times. We cannot promise that it will be available without interruption or free of faults. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, by an event outside our control, or because Google or the publisher of a calendar limits or refuses our requests. Such interruptions are not a breach of these terms.
  2. If something is wrong, tell us and we will put it right as soon as we reasonably can.
  3. We may change features. If we remove something you rely on, we will give you at least 30 days' notice on the dashboard, unless the change is needed for security or by law. If we ever close Availashare, we will give you at least 60 days' notice; your feeds remain standard calendar files that you can import elsewhere until then.

10. Our liability to you

  1. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breach of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
  2. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or that results from inaccurate data in a source calendar, from a link being forwarded by someone you gave it to, from the refresh schedule of a subscriber's calendar application, or from your own breach of these terms.
  3. If you use Availashare for a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, business, contracts or opportunity, and all terms implied by law into business contracts are excluded as far as the law allows.
  4. Subject to the first paragraph of this clause, our total liability to you for all claims arising from the service in any 12 month period is limited to the greater of £50 and the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
  5. We are not liable for a failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control.

11. Suspending and ending the agreement

  1. You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account from the dashboard. Everything Availashare stored about you is deleted at once, the tokens of your connected Google accounts are revoked at Google, and your feeds stop answering.
  2. If we suspect that you have broken these terms, we may suspend your account or some of its links while we look into it. We will tell you, invite you to respond, and lift the suspension if the concern is resolved.
  3. We may close your account without notice if you seriously break these terms, if the law or Google's requirements oblige us to, or if your use puts the service or other people at risk.
  4. We may also end the agreement for any other reason by giving you at least 30 days' notice on the dashboard, with the refund described in clause 8.
  5. When the agreement ends, we delete your data as the privacy notice describes.

12. Your content and our property

  1. Your calendar data remains yours. You give us permission to copy, store and process it, and to serve it to whoever holds a link, for as long as that is needed to provide the service to you. That permission ends when you remove the calendar or delete your account.
  2. The Availashare software, website, name and logo belong to us. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell any part of them beyond what the law allows.
  3. Google Calendar, iCloud, Outlook and the other products named on this site belong to their owners. Availashare works with them and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

13. Data protection

  1. We are the controller of the personal data Availashare holds, and the privacy notice describes it in full, including how to use your rights.
  2. You are responsible for the data about other people that you publish through share links. You must have a lawful reason to share it, and if one of those people asks you to stop, you must deal with their request. We will help where we can, as the privacy notice describes.
  3. Availashare is made for individuals. If you use it on behalf of an organisation that needs a data processing agreement under Article 28 of the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR, write to us before relying on the service.

14. Complaints, notices and requests about a feed

  1. If you have a complaint about Availashare, write to the contact address shown at the bottom of every page. We acknowledge it within seven days and answer it within one month.
  2. If your details appear in a feed and you want that to stop, or if a calendar of yours has been added to Availashare without your permission, write to us with what you saw and, if you have it, the link or the address. We will verify the request, may pause the link or the calendar while we look, put the matter to the account holder, and answer you within one month.
  3. We give you notices on the dashboard, and we may also write to the email address of your account.
  4. You give us notices by email.

15. General

  1. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  2. If we do not enforce a right under these terms at some point, we can still enforce it later.
  3. We may transfer this agreement to someone who takes over Availashare, and we will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer your account to anyone else.
  4. Nobody other than you and us has any rights under these terms, and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 does not apply to them.

16. Governing law and courts

  1. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
  2. You and we both accept the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your own courts. If you live in the European Union, you keep the right to bring or defend a claim in the courts of your country and to rely on the mandatory consumer protections of its law.
  3. Nothing in these terms obliges you to use arbitration or prevents you from going to court.
